Appartamento molto bello, provvisto di giardino, il plus la piscina e la zona benessere. Titolari gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Assolutamente da consigliare

Posto curato e con tutti i servizi. Colazione tipica. Posizione strategica. Gestori cordiali e disponibili che ci hanno indicato posti da vedere e visitare spettacolari. Ci saremo rimasti un mese!!

When we reached the Alpenhof Lodge after a long drive, we weren't sure at first - given the outside view - whether we were in the right place. The pictures, reviews and monthly emails from the host gave the impression that we had chosen an idyllic, spacious and relaxing hotel. The whole thing is beautifully situated. Unfortunately, the disappointing impression we had when we arrived on site was confirmed. And this one didn't get any better either: 1st location: Directly on the loud, busy road (pass road), opposite. the village fire department and village church (see pictures 1 and 5, shot from the balcony). Positive: Right next to the Hirzer cable car and the cycle path along the Passer. 2. Hotel complex: a) outside: two houses next to each other, a little garden and seating, nothing more. The published pictures made a much more spacious, well-kept and better impression on us. b) Inside: The facility is getting old. Although clean, but without a certain flair. There is no elevator (which would probably be structurally difficult). Our room: Luckily we chose the "cheapest" room (facing the street) at 160 Eu/night, so we didn't throw any more money out the window. Not a special room, but with air conditioning. In the bathroom there is a toilet paper holder that we otherwise only know from train station toilets (picture 2; by the way, we have already stayed overnight in Italy several times, this part is no longer available in any modern, nice accommodation ;-)). The shower is getting old, feels like it's from the 90s. Balcony: see pictures. It's all quite sobering and unloving. 3. Parking lot available, but it gets very tight in the evenings. So be back “home” early enough, because alternatives to cars are difficult to find. 4. Breakfast and room are good, including the younger staff there. The breakfast room is probably quite new. 5. Wellness We actually wanted to relax, but the outdated sauna and pool area is so puny and is located in a dark niche in the basement. Pool facing the garden, but covered. As already mentioned: Everything is not modern, maybe the new whirlpool. We then only used the accommodation as the starting point for our hikes and bike tours, because the landscape is simply wonderful. Likewise the city of Merano itself. Rooms: 1 Service: 2 Location: 2
