Christoph and his team were wonderful beautiful location this was our second visit great restaurant and do your self a favour try his own personal Pino noir exceptional

My 17-year-old son and I stepped onto the doorstep and immediately felt at home in this cozy, welcoming spot. After a little kerfuffle on our part getting to the hotel, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room, which even included a thoughtful keepsake picture for us to take home. Since we had arrived at the tail end of dinner service, we quickly headed down for our meal and it turned out to be the best meal of our entire 8 day trip. My son and I both cleaned our plates but wisely saved just enough room for dessert, which he’s still talking about today. Afterward, we wandered through the hotel, discovering that every room seemed to invite us to linger a little longer. Later, back in our own room, we stepped out onto the balcony and gazed up at the brilliant night sky. With so little light around us, the stars seemed endless, sparkling brighter than we had ever seen. It was the perfect way to end the evening before sinking into a wonderfully comfortable bed with soft, cozy bedding. The next morning, we opened the doors to our balcony, breathed in the fresh mountain air, and headed down to a hearty breakfast. It was exactly what we needed for a full day of travel. Every detail, from the service to the small touches throughout the hotel, reflected the care Christopher and his staff put into making the experience special. We then explored the outdoor space, including a charming garden right off the kitchen. Seeing it firsthand gave new meaning to the idea of farm-to-table dining. Before leaving, I hiked up into the hills to an abandoned church with breathtaking views. All too soon, it was time to go. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. We plan to go back next summer and stay longer. Tip: From the train station, there is a direct bus that drops you off next to the hotel but ends around dinnertime. Another bus runs only halfway, requiring a transfer to a smaller bus for the rest of the journey. This smaller bus stops service around 7 or 8 p.m. Be sure to check the bus schedules for details—as we were there in August, routes and times may change during the year. Service: 5
