We had a magical dinner here on our last night in Lake Como. The view and atmosphere are absolutely stunning. Then there are the two gracious hosts. The food is spectacular. We had zucchini fritti atop a delicious frittata along with an incredible potato-tomato-cheese filled pasta of buckwheat and regular wheat flour. The trout was unreal as well-perfectly seasoned and cooked. They are incredibly accommodating for special requests as well and our little ones got pasta with a delectable rustic marinara and grilled chicken breast. They were raving about it all and our picky eaters said without hesitation that this was the best meal of our trip. The desserts are also fabulous, best tiramisu I’ve ever had in my life and a nice little homemade limoncello as well. Would travel back just to have this meal again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Home restaurant Aquarelle was one of the most outstanding and memorable dining experiences we’ve had the privilege of experiencing throughout our travels. Marisa and Gino were the most gracious and lovely hosts, my husband and I were continuously blown away by the beautiful home and life they live in the stunning Palanzo in lake Como and there are no words in the English language to describe the beauty and experience their place has to offer. My husband and I were just in sheer awe the entire evening. It was truly a blessing to have the opportunity to have a home cooked multi-course meal prepared for just the two of us and get to enjoy it atop of this incredible view above lake Como and the lovely village they live in. I found this place on google while researching restaurants in the local area and have since told approximately 25+ people about how phenomenal this experience is, there is truly something extremely magical about having dinner at Marisa and Gino’s and I can vouch it’s well worth trying to get here because it will be one of the most memorable dining experiences of your life. Our only regret is not being able to eat and drink more due to our limited appetites that evening due to recovering from recent illness but we attest that every dish that was brought out was phenomenal, beautiful, a work of art, and made with love by hand. Overall it was one of the most special and magical dinners we’ve ever had and if we’re ever back in Palanzo/lake Como, we will absolutely be back again- I cannot recommend it enough, everyone MUST try this exquisite restaurant!! It was truly life changing. Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Marisa and Gino will ask if you have any dietary restrictions.
