Last evening we had a fantastic experience at Hisa Torkla. Never expected to find such a high quality restaurant in the Istrian countryside. The interior and atmosphere is both modern and high end at the same time. Our host, member of the family who owns the establishment, was very welcoming and friendly. The dishes were finely composed and balanced, bringing Istrian flavours presented at top end to the table. We had dishes of veal, shrimp, fuzi with truffles, and fantastic combo of white chocolate foam with rhubarb as dessert, all without fault. If anyone is in the area, this restaurant is so worth the visit, I can only recommend it. It's only a short drive away from Izola or many of the coastal towns really. It's a hidden gem I'm happy to give away to anyone who's looking for a culinary experience without breaking the bank. It was definitely our favourite eating out experience of Istria and hopefully we'll be back one day soon.
