La cucina marocchina sotto la direzione del grande chef è notevolissima in questo posto. Molti visitatori ordinano il fantastico tè. L'atmosfera ospitale di questo ristorante dipende in larga misura dal personale, che qui è davvero preparato. Rimarrai sicuramente contento dello spettacolare servizio. Dal punto di vista dei visitatori, i prezzi sono abbordabili. Goditi un' atmosfera tranquilla qui. Gli utenti di Google sono piuttosto generosi con Habibi: si è guadagnato un punteggio di 4.8 stelle.

[Edited based on the kind response from the owners] - A warm, wholesome, homely spot located in the city center of St. Gallen - The restaurant is cozy and the owner is incredibly kind, welcoming, and hands-on - We ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich, shish tavuk platter, and hummus - The food was fine but felt quite different from the authentic Middle Eastern flavors I’ve experienced in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon - The hummus, while decent, didn’t quite match the Palestinian or Lebanese versions I’m used to – though I appreciate that regional variations exist - The shawarma sandwich lacked classic elements like garlic, pickles, saj, or fries – but I understand from the owners’ response that this may reflect the Damascus style - The shish tavuk also tasted very different from what I’ve had in other Palestinian, Lebanese, or Syrian restaurants – it reminded me more of a home-style marinated chicken That said, I genuinely appreciate the thoughtful response from the owners – it clearly shows how deeply they care about the business and guest experience Thank you again for the warm and lovely evening at Habibi – looking forward to visiting again and seeing how the menu evolves with time. Hello Vidhur.Thanks for the visit and the long review. Its always good to hear from our guests how the experience was. Our goal is that our guests feel good and relaxed and have a very good meal.We would like to respond to some of the points in the review:We are glad that you liked the atmosphere and our hospitality in the Habibi restaurant.- In our opinion we do indeed represent an authentic middle eastern cuisine. We ( the two owners and cooks of the habibi restaurant) are Palestinians, born and raised in Damascus, Syria learned, tasted, cooked the authentic middle eastern cuisine for many years. -The Middle East is a big area and there are some small differences in recipes -for example the fried potatoes, in Damascus a lot of places selling shawarma indeed do also sell fried potatoes, but many people only like to eat the shawarma wrap by itself , us included) - but we will will consider the idea to offer fried potatoes to our guests.- the majority of our guests are very satisfied with our hummus- its true we don't put pickles in the shawarma ( from now on - we will ask the guests , if they would like pickles ) /-we didn't really get what you mean by real shish tavuk ( you can contact us for more information, we would like to know )We hope to welcome you on another time and that you are more satisfied with our food the next time!Best RegardsHabibi Team ( Najwa Sayedah and Ahmad Garhe)
