- Food: 4/5 ️ - Service 5/5 - Location & atmosphere 4/5 Have you ever walked into a hotel lobby expecting the usual bland check-in, only to be met by a fleet of brand-new cars on display? It set the tone immediately—a proper high-spec, premium vibe that told me dinner was going to be something special. We were there for a business dinner, and stumbling upon Grillrestaurant 48° Grad turned what could have been a standard work night into a massive result. The food was bang on, though we had to handle a bit of a cultural shock first. In true Swiss fashion, the salad comes out as a starter. Now, as an Italian, eating leaves before the main event is practically a cardinal sin—enough to make you want to call for a priest—but I have to admit, it was vibrant and dressed to perfection. The steak that followed, however, was absolute class. I’m still thinking about it now. You’ve also got to save room for dessert; those brownies were utter perfection—rich, dark, and just the right amount of gooiness. What really sealed the deal was the service. The place was absolutely packed to the rafters, yet the staff didn't skip a beat. It was sharp, professional, and attentive throughout. If you’re in Schindellegi for work or play, do yourself a favour and get a table booked. It’s a cracking, polished spot that feels special without trying too hard.
