A true taste of Greece has finally landed in Bern! I recently visited the newly opened Taverna Greek Spot in Lerchenfeld, and it is a total gem. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was a 10/10. The Highlights: Feta in Phyllo: Wrapped in crispy pastry and topped with sesame and honey. The perfect balance of sweet and salty! Bouyiourdi: This was a game-changer—sizzling baked feta with tomatoes and peppers. Pure Mediterranean comfort food. Stuffed Peppers: Sweet red Florinis peppers filled with creamy, delicious feta. ️ Tirokafteri: If you like a bit of heat, this spicy feta dip is a must-order. For the mains, the Gyros and Souvlaki were incredibly fresh, well-seasoned, and hit all the right notes. Whatever you do, make sure to save room for the Portokalipita (orange cake). It is moist, zesty, and easily the orange cake of my dreams! The atmosphere is warm and the service is incredibly friendly. It’s a fantastic addition to the Bern food scene.
