Enjoyed our stay The rooms here are great, super spacious and the food is very good, especially the breakfast which has a vast array of selections - the poached eggs and fruit were our favourites and the coffee is fantastic. The service at breakfast and dinner is fantastic and you really get the feel that this is a premium 5* hotel. The private beach is fantastic, lovely cabanas to relax in and some fish to see if you bring a snorkel. There is a lovely shower there and a lifeguard on duty aswell. All day service with food and drinks at the private beach and pool. Giorgio was fantastic, great humour and great service by the pool all afternoon and evening. It is nicely quiet all day and you can really relax and chill out without kids (adults only). Phi beach (the best club on the island) is a 5 minute walk away which was great for us as we went to enjoy the music one night. We understand taxis are hard to come by on the island so this is a great location if you plan to visit. The noise from the club was not an issue for us at all, we slept better than at home . In terms of location, it’s a 10-15 min walk to the main area in Baja but it’s quite hilly and very hot during the day in the summer. We had a car which was ideal as we could explore the local area without worrying about taxis. Improvement points - 1. For the cost (and being a 5*) a gym on site would be great as exercising outside is impossible in the summer heat. 2. Credit card details - when we checked in we were asked to write our credit card details on a piece of paper for any additional charges. As a regular traveler, this is not normal practice and not secure - a card machine with pre-authorisation is the common procedure here. 3. Coffee machine in room would be a nice addition for the afternoon sleepiness. Service: 5
