Se non hai mai avuto occasione di assaporare la cucina slovena cogli l'occasione di farlo in questo ristorante. Qui potrai assaggiare curatissimi funghi, pesce e pollo. Gostilna Valerija, Damjan Fleišaker serve un ottimo vino.

We were looking for a restaurant with authentic, homemade, local food. Parking is not a problem. The restaurant is clean and pleasant. The waiter was dressed as a waiter should be; you can tell he’s a professional who knows his job and not a student working part-time. We visited the restaurant on a bank holiday, which was probably the reason for the limited selection. So we ordered one of the set menus, which included squid (due to the lack of more appealing options). The soup was very good, although too salty. The squid was tasty, and the chard was also very good. The problem was the sauces we ordered tartar sauce and Trieste-style sauce. The “tartar” was just plain mayonnaise. The Trieste sauce had no parsley, and there was no olive oil, maybe the garlic had absorbed it - very unusual Trieste sauce. In some photos, olive oil is visible in the Trieste-style sauce, but in ours it wasn’t there. The salad wasn’t bad, although it’s August, fresh vegetables are available, yet the mixed salad was based on beans and cabbage (covered with lettuce on top)!?
