I rarely write reviews, but the experience we had at Gastronomia da Sabry truly deserves recognition. We have visited Italy several times over the past few years, but we have never had a lunch like this. I speak very little, broken Italian, but I try my best and always make the effort to say something in Italian. From the very beginning I mentioned that my Italian is limited, and both the waiter and the chef immediately recognised that and met me with patience, kindness, and genuine effort to communicate. They spoke slowly, used gestures, smiled, and made sure I understood. At one point I decided to fully trust them and said “mi fido di voi” — and that turned out to be the best decision of the trip. They surprised my partner and me with an incredible meal: a beautiful, perfectly cooked steak for me and fresh seafood for my partner. The chef himself came to our table to show me the cut of meat beforehand — it was massive, and you could clearly see how proud he was of the quality and the ingredients. The steak was exceptional, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Despite the language barrier, I never felt uncomfortable. On the contrary — I felt genuinely welcome. For the first time in Italy, I truly felt seen, and that made the day very special for me. As we were leaving, the lovely lady working there handed us a panettone as a gift. It was completely unexpected and incredibly generous — a gesture that perfectly sums up the warmth of this place. This was not just a meal, but a human experience. I cannot recommend Gastronomia da Sabry enough. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable. Grazie di cuore, torneremo sicuramente. Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
