Charming and no-frills, this old-style hotel offers 24-hour free coffee and tea—a nice touch. The split-type AC kept the room cool during summer, and housekeeping cleaned daily. Simple, clean, and no complaints. Service: 5

A Heartfelt Return to a Place Full of Memories – Hirschen Hotel Restaurant I had the pleasure of returning to Hirschen Hotel Restaurant in Interlaken in 2025, a place that holds a very special memory for me. Back in 2017, I shared a truly unforgettable dinner here with my mother. This time, I returned with my husband and our son, and it was just as wonderful—perhaps even more so. We enjoyed the sizzling hot stone beef tenderloin, classic cheese fondue, crispy rösti, and a lovely bottle of Collinare Merlot Riserva from Ticino (2021). My husband was especially impressed by the wine and steak—so much so that on our first weekend back home in Korea, he recreated the entire experience for us, grilling steak and opening a similar bottle of wine to relive the memory. What truly stood out this time was not only the delicious food, but the warm and attentive service. A kind gentleman took care of our table throughout the evening, making sure our wine glasses were never empty and even serving our son pineapple juice in a wine glass, which made him feel part of the celebration. To that gentleman—I want to say a sincere thank you. I was so caught up in the moment (and the wine!) that I mistakenly switched from my debit card to a credit card while paying. In all the laughter and joy, I didn’t get to properly express how much we appreciated your hospitality. I regret not leaving a proper token of our thanks, but please know that your service made our evening truly special. To anyone considering dining here: You’ve made the right choice. This is not just a restaurant—it’s a place where memories are made. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Interlaken. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to—again and again.
