After a long drive from Salzburg we were craving for Fondue near Zurich and Google guided us to Fondue-Chalet in Heiden Mehr als nur Fondue. We arrived at Zur Fernsicht at sunset. At entering the restaurant, which appeared very sophisticated, but not so busy at that time, the hostess, Noemi, welcomed us with amazing genuine warmth. We did not have reservations and we feared that we might have been out of luck to dine there. Nevertheless, Noemi arranged a table with a great view of the lake for us. Once seated, we asked about fondue and were told by Ali, the very friendly server, that the Fondue Chalet was seasonal and there was no fondue anymore. Nevertheless, the hospitality of Ali was so welcoming that we were not disappointed and we welcomed what the restaurant was offering. The food and wine we ordered was exquisitely delicious and felt the perfect balance between satisfying, yet light in the stomach. Above all, the warm hospitality from the first moment we stepped into the restaurant was the absolute best. We yearn to return to Zur Fernsicht one day. Thank you Noemi, Ali, and the staff of Zur Fernsicht for an exceptional experience! I highly recommend this amazing place! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 30–40
