The “La Trono” was delicious. The taste and texture of the focaccia is the best I’ve tried anywhere and the pesto was perfectly flavorful. The food truly puts other focaccia shops to shame. Prices could and probably should be higher for what you get in quality and quantity. Incredible value. Plus, Giuliano is a really warm guy you could talk with for hours. Big thank you to him for the great food and great conversation. Highly highly recommend taking the train here if you find yourself in Cinque Terre during the off season when most of the places that are actually open are overpriced and of pretty poor quality. Best Focaccia hands down not only in La Spezia but IMO all of Italy. It was recommended by the hotel, and we were absolutely blown away by the food, service and pride of the owner (unfortunately I forgot his name), but he owns it with his brother. Not the usual stuffed focaccia but a focaccia made to perfection, with the style of the very famous "Antico Vinaio", the Focaccia del Duca opens in the historic center of La Spezia, local focaccia from the Rizzoli bakery and quality and fresh products. Wide choice of fillings and personalized combinations. A place that was missing in our city. Come and try their products, you will be happy.
