I'm sorry to give a negative review, but it seems right to me to do so. We went to the Faula restaurant for Saturday brunch (€85). Unfortunately, a completely different format was found to what was advertised on social channels and on the phone at the time of booking. Poor savory buffet, it offered raw vegetables, omelettes, sliced ham and parmesan. In short, they looked like simple breakfast leftovers. Furthermore, a roast with potatoes as a hot dish (another guest, however, complained that he found it cold). In the absence of a choice, I asked the kitchen for some raw meat, which however was kindly offered to us. Moving on to the "chef's little surprises" foreseen by the format, in addition to a welcome amuse bouche, nothing was brought to us. We tried some à la carte dishes which seemed good, but nothing worth the price. We instead enjoyed the dessert buffet. The service was good. The guys were nice and brought a free birthday tart for my partner. Did we fall on the wrong day? I do not know. But still we felt cheated and will not return. It's difficult for me to give the maximum, but, on the other hand, 4 stars would be few. Everything really almost perfect also for the fact that it was unexpected (for these levels) I tasted an appetizer (raw Gambero Rosso di Sanremo, almonds, peas and lemon) of the highest level, both for the product and for the combination and for the presentation. A first course (Risotto with watercress and trout from San Biagio di Mondov) which is perhaps the only dish that did not surprise me but to which one can only give a full 8. Two second courses of meat, one better than the other: Fassona sirloin aged for six weeks, hazelnut crust, beetroot and brown background AND Roasted saddle of venison, black cabbage from the garden and wild blueberries Simply sublime, among the best meat second courses I have ever tasted. Finally, a dessert (Hazelnut Albaretto Torre with caramelized chocolate and red currants) as good as it is beautiful to look at, but even more I would say... a discovery! Obviously an impeccable wine. What can I say, the bill is certainly not negligible, but the experience is amply rewarded. You absolutely have to try it and I will definitely be back. Well done!
