I’ve eaten vegan burgers everywhere from California to New York, and the Fried Oyster Mushroom Burger at Crusty Kuhna is probably my all-time favorite. It lands somewhere between a traditional burger and a crispy chicken sandwich but outshines both. I liked it so much that I made sure to come back for my final meal of the trip! The fries complemented the main dish perfectly, and I finished the meal with their American Pancakes. The staff was nice enough to serve them with both marmalade and chocolate. I was half-expecting thin crêpes, but they delivered genuinely thick, American-style pancakes. Beyond the food (which is easily some of the best I've had), the atmosphere is top-tier. The duo running the place are incredibly welcoming, and they play great classic/psychedelic rock (shoutout to hearing "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5)" in the background today). You have to grab a bite here if you visit Slovenia. Thank you, Crusty Kuhna, for the unforgettable food and charm! If I'm fortunate enough to be able to come back to Slovenia, I will definitely be dropping by again!
