Se non il nostro in assoluto, è di sicuro tra i nostri posti preferiti. Davide e la sua famiglia ha costruito un ristorante di altissima qualità che coniuga semplicità e ricercatezza. Siamo stati a cena in questo ristorante a gestione familiare il giorno prima di capodanno ed è stata davvero un'esperienza più che piacevole. Al momento della prenotazione abbiamo richiesto un menù vegetariano che si è rivelato eccezionale, dall'antipasto al dolce (5 portate in totale). Ulteriore nota positiva, la persona che era con me durante la cena ha richiesto un secondo di carne che nonostante non fosse previsto nel nostro menù ci è stato prontamente servito. Piatti ricercati nella loro semplicità, accompagnati da un ottimo vino consigliato dallo chef. Il servizio è stato impeccabile e il prezzo per una cena di questa portata veramente onesto, se capiteremo in zona torneremo di certo! If you live near Città della Pieve or if you are on holiday, you absolutely must eat at the Crocus restaurant. I have now eaten there for the second time and it is truly a feast. We started with a fermented green tomato gazpacho, a delicious explosion of flavor and then the tone was immediately set as far as I'm concerned. All the dishes we got afterwards were all equally special, very tasty and very well balanced in terms of flavours. Chef Davide Carboni has worked as chef de cuisine in the Armani hotel in Dubai and the Regent hotel in Beijing, among others. In his dishes you can taste the influences of both cuisines. Cook a fixed menu and you can choose 4 or 5 courses with wines available. We drank, among other things, the Elso and the Ciliegiolo from Podere Fontesecca, 2 beautiful wines that went well with the dish. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive, the colorful chairs combined with the gray tones of the old farm troughs create a warm atmosphere. Davide cooks together with mother Severina and his father Amadeo is the host, the three of them ensure that you as a guest lack for nothing and that you have a fantastic evening out.
