I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the tea room Bachmann in a commercial centre in Stans, Switzerland. Nice spot for a casual breakfast. This small patisserie has both indoor and outdoor seating, with the terrace overlooking a square that gets pleasant morning sun. There’s a good selection of pastries, though most are on the traditional side. I tried the quiche and the apricot tart—both were decent, but felt more on the industrial side rather than freshly homemade. On the plus side, they offer freshly squeezed orange juice, which is always appreciated. Service was friendly, and even though I ordered at the counter, they brought everything to the table.
