Sometimes even a small smile can change an entire day, one of those days that perhaps doesn't start off in the right direction, for the simple fact that you are caught up in a thousand things and you don't stop to reflect on even the simple things. Often the space of a moment is enough. Today, returning from some laboratory tests, I had to have breakfast after the obvious preparatory fasting. I found myself crossing the parking lot adjacent to the blood sampling center and took a look around. In fact, I didn't really want to stop, but as soon as I set foot in this delightful bar, I immediately felt an empathy with the whole environment. Very clean place even if full of people (and thank goodness!); particular care in displaying shop windows; elegantly arranged tables; cheerful and chatty people (the kind who want to spend short relaxing moments). It was 09.00. I approached the counter and was initially served by a girl who patiently explained to me the various ingredients of the numerous brioches, even though they were already written there. But yes, I wanted to "test" his patience. I must admit that the smile and kindness on his part and that of the cashier were the setting for a moment of total relaxation. Not everyone can dispense good humor and friendliness. Not all people who work under pressure perhaps even have the time to show a little humanity towards people. But today I found it, in the simple gesture of carefully preparing a tray with my food and in responding with a spontaneous, unprepared thank you-please. I have happened to stop in other places on other occasions, some so beautiful as to evoke luxurious scenarios, if it hadn't been for the bitter aftertaste of the people who worked there. Here at the Bar Pasticceria Cibò, managed by Bruno (who simply works as an employee, but who takes care of it as if it were his own) and the kindness of the counter clerk, I found a comfortable, human, delightfully simple environment. A bar that certainly deserves to be better known, both because it is an important meeting point for those who want to stop and enjoy peaceful moments, and for the strategic point in which it is located, with a convenient attached car park, which is that of the Bennett shopping center in Ivrea. An essential place to stop and reflect, even while drinking a coffee and enjoying a delicious croissant. All seasoned with smiles and good humor. Compliments.
