Abbiamo cenato qui con piacere: atmosfera accogliente, servizio cordiale e piatti ben curati. Ogni portata raccontava attenzione al dettaglio e sapori equilibrati. Grazie a tutto lo staff per una serata davvero speciale. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner

Overall, 5 stars. 4 of us had dinner. The codfish, square spaghetti, tuna meatballs and octopus were delicious. They were happy to accommodate us even though we arrived a half an hour earlier than our booking. Offered us a little welcome prosecco too . Some seating available inside, but we ate at one of the few tables outside on the cobblestone street which was charming. Not on the main drag, so not the tourist traps you might imagine around the duomo. The icing on the cake is that the chef is married to the lady at front of house / waitress. And if I've understood correctly, their son is called Hugo. Stupidly, I forgot to ask her name, but i found her absolutely lovely. I'd happily go back to Chez Hugo. Thank you both. Fyi, we spotted a lady walking suspiciously close the tables, scanning the people and tables as if looking for something to snatch. We might be over-thinking it and it can happen anyhere, so we kept our bags on the floor, against the wall, away from the street. At least on this quiet street you can more easily spot a potential pickpocket coming more easily than in a crowded plaza. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in
