Da Lara sono andata per cena con amici, bel posto molto curato, cibo locale , abbiamo passato una bella serata con tranquillità, sicuramente da rifare!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40

In November 2025, our three-generation family party of six (ranging from ages 18 to 83) visited Home Restaurant da Lara in Certaldo (in the Tuscany region) for a cooking class and lunch. What a lovely day. We felt so welcomed by Lara and her family. We arrived at 11 AM and were greeted with appetizers and glasses of wine enjoyed while taking in the beautiful setting in the loggia. Then we moved onto making different colored pasta at work stations in the loggia: tagliatelle and raviolis. The six of us created four different colors of dough and had the experience of rolling out and cutting the two shapes, and filling the ravioli. It was great fun and much easier than we would have expected. Following the lesson, we moved to the dining room and ate the fruits of our labor. Aside from making the process approachable and enjoyable, what stood out was the warmth with which we were received in Lara and Daniel’s home. We met their two kids, exchange student and their dog. We learned a bit about their lives, the restaurant/cooking classes, and what it was like to live in Certaldo. It was an authentic and memorable experience, and if you are questioning whether to make a reservation, all of six of us would highly recommend it.
