An absolutely perfect dining experience. Casa Romano Tropea is definitely the number 1 restaurant in Tropea. The food was absolutely exquisite. My husband and I each had a primi and secondi dish as well as two deserts and a bottle of wine for 200 euro. Although we had a 3 course meal, the restaurant definitely didn’t seem to mind if you only have 1 course. Although expensive, it’s absolutely worth every penny. The flavours are unmatched! We loved the lobster pasta, seared tuna, aubergine pasta and mussel soup. The desserts were works of art. It was my favourite, perfectly balanced, tiramisu. The staff were exceptional. They were very friendly (and patient with my very broken Italian) and paid so close attention to their customers (without being a bother) that they brought you things like extra utensils and a hand bag clip before you even realized you needed it. They even provide every member of your table a bib when someone orders a messy dish such as the lobster pasta. And believe me, the bib was much needed! The restaurant has an outstanding atmosphere, with lovely Italian music just faintly playing in the background. Their wine selection is phenomenal. We will definitely be back when we’re in Tropea again. Price per person: €50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
