We returned to Grandson after 30 years - a small charming village right on Lake Neuchatel where our grandparents used to live. We stopped in Café Du Commerce for lunch and were very impressed at what they had done to this charming space. It is very well done, warm, inviting, and very up-to-date. My wife had the fresh perch from the lake and it was fantastic. I had the spaghetti with tomato and basil, and I was blown away. Absolutely amazing. Very fresh ingredients, simple, but bursting with flavor. I highly recommend stopping here, even if it's a bit out of your way. And just a note, most of the shops are closed between 12:30 and 4:00, so come in the morning and then have lunch.
