We visited Cafe Schleppun on a sunny day in September so we could enjoy sitting out on the pretty terrace with magnificent views from the castle hill to the valley and surrounding mountains. The menu is a simple selection of snacks and drinks, but our sandwiches were beautifully presented and tasted great, made with fresh local ingredients. Service was very friendly, helpful and efficient, and the whole atmosphere of the cafe was very welcoming. If you are visiting the castle (also highly recommended), or if you are just passing through Tarasp on a hike through the beautiful countryside, make sure you stop off here for a light snack and a cool drink to help you on your way.
