We visited this lovely Cafe after we had finished our sightseeing ride on the City Train Lucern. It was a very warm (hot and sunny) day and the staff were very accommodating in making sure we had a shady table outside to cool off. Being of senior years,but wanting to see more we used ChatGPT to see if we could fit in a trip to the top of Mt Pilatus that afternoon - we could - but we needed help with language. (From NZ we have only English) A senior staff member helped us get a taxi and we had a most successful rest of the day. Our grateful thanks to the wonderful hospitality at Cafe Chapeau. A hidden gem with wonderfully friendly staff who spoke excellent English. Tucked away from the crowds, it was the perfect place to relax. The latte was the best coffee we’ve had, and the banana bread was absolutely superb. They also offer a lovely range of light lunches. The stylish décor, French music, and charming ambience made us feel as though we’d been transported to a little café in Paris. We would highly recommend this café and can’t wait to return.
