Bellissima esperienza, posto stupendo, colazione super, accoglienza da 5 stelle, ho anche utilizzato la spa, tanto relax. Lo consiglio vivamente.

It is a widespread hotel, so the rooms are located in different structures, although very close to each other. When you read "it is located at the foot of the Bardi castle" you must take this statement literally: many of the rooms overlook the castle directly, which is just 20 meters away as the crow flies. A wonderful thing. The management is completely familiar and from the first contact you understand that you are dealing with courteous, professional and customer-focused people. And then they are smiling and jovial, which is anything but a given in the hotel world (even though it should be) and helps the guest a lot to feel welcomed. The rooms are fantastic, I invite you to take a tour of the site to get an idea. A lot of work was done to restore the structures to their original state and the result is truly stupendous; for the walls the original stone has been brought to light, the furnishings are all in wood, extremely simple but equally refined; I stayed with my wife and my 2 year old son in the La Principessa suite, the bed is very comfortable, the windows are large and bright and the bathroom is functional. If the location, room, rooms and staff have already allowed me to give 5 stars, there is a further aspect that deserves 6: the kitchen. Breakfast is consumed in the same structure as the hall and is truly complete and varied: a wide choice of homemade sweets and savories, jams and desserts (4 different desserts when we passed, stuff you don't often see around), yoghurt, cereals, fresh bread, croissants, lots of fruit, excellent coffee; lots of quality in a wonderful environment. And then, the crown jewel, the restaurant: evidently quality products, dishes inspired by the territory with few ingredients but fantastically combined, a choice on the menu that really puts you in difficulty. We tasted several first courses and a few second courses and, although all fantastic, I would like to highlight the pear and taleggio tortelli, the Ca' del Grano tortelli, the risotto, the fillet with pepper, the tagliatelle and the crispy egg on cheese cream, asparagus and truffle, which is the stuff of starred restaurants. The restaurant is truly worth the visit alone. Bardi is in an ideal position for a nice tour of the Parma Apennines, it can be an excellent starting point for visiting the Val di Ceno and the Val di Taro, full of wonderful villages and lots of nature; and then Parma can be reached in an hour and the Cinque Terre in Liguria in less than two hours.
