Last Wednesday we, two women and a man, went to the Pflaumen Garden restaurant in mid-summer temperatures to enjoy lunch together. Even before we sit down (the restaurant is surprisingly practically empty at this point, a few guests have taken a seat in the garden), we notice that we have the usual bottle of water for our small dog with us, but accidentally without the foldable one that comes with it Drinking bowl. We therefore turn to the waitress (or even the boss?) present in the restaurant for help and politely ask the lady for some small replacement drinking vessel for our thirsty four-legged friend. The request is rejected categorically and without any explanation, let alone apology - we have to take care of that ourselves. Another friendly, if somewhat surprised, follow-up on our part resulted in such a dismissive, even hostile reaction from the person mentioned that we quickly packed up our things and left the Plum Garden never to be returned. PS: We regularly eat out in public places with our well-behaved four-legged friend, both in Switzerland and abroad, but have never experienced anything like this; The staff often even spontaneously puts a bowl of water in front of the dog.
