Posto incantevole, si entra totalmente in un'altra dimensione. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, attento a qualsiasi richiesta del cliente. Il cibo è buonissimo, si sente che i prodotti sono fatti in casa e non sono congelati. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente. Belgian atmosphere with some surprises I had the pleasure of visiting Brasseur Hugo in Cosenza, a Belgian-style pub that struck me with its welcoming atmosphere and furnishings with attention to detail. In particular, I appreciated the sitting area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a beer with friends. Starting from the culinary offer, I must admit that I would have expected a menu exclusively dedicated to Belgian cuisine, but instead I also found more common proposals such as pizzas and some local sandwiches. If on the one hand this broadens the choice, on the other it takes away some of the thematic coherence that I expected to find. Fast service, but could be improved... Before going I had read reviews that reported long waiting times, but I have to deny this impression. The service was quick and punctual, although I noticed a slight lack of coordination between the kitchen and the dining room. For example, the sandwiches arrived when we were still enjoying the french fries entrée. The raw materials are of good quality, but in my case the sandwich served was not at the right temperature, a detail that can make the difference. I would also suggest heating the bread slightly (without grilling it) to best bring out the flavours. The prices are honest, on average, and there is also the possibility of obtaining a discount by booking through a well-known application which allows you to take advantage of a discount on the final bill. Then, with a really broad menu, perhaps even too broad, this gives me a good reason to return and try other specialties. Furthermore, this Christmas period the place has promoted a nice prize initiative for customers - who knows, maybe I'll be able to win the trip to Belgium! Ultimately, a positive experience with some small aspects to improve, but certainly a place that I recommend trying, especially for lovers of Belgian beers and particular atmospheres.
