Our team is made up of colleagues from numerous nations and cultural backgrounds, including Black team members, and diversity is something we value deeply. To suggest that we would exclude someone on the basis of race is profoundly concerning to us. An accusation of racism is not only hurtful, but also defamatory in light of the principles by which we operate and the inclusive culture we actively cultivate. During Basler Fasnacht, our public areas can reach full capacity very quickly, and for safety and operational reasons access may at times need to be regulated. These decisions are based solely on capacity and security considerations and are never related to personal characteristics.
