Set against dramatic mountain scenery near the Kleine Scheidegg line, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you want to slow down, sit on the terrace, and soak it all in. The menu focuses on hearty Swiss classics done well. The rösti is crisp and comforting, and the apple fritters with vanilla sauce are a real highlight—easily worth saving room for. There’s a good balance between filling mountain dishes and lighter options, so it works just as well for a proper lunch as for a relaxed snack during a hike or ski day. Service is friendly and efficient, even when the restaurant is busy, and the atmosphere is informal and welcoming. Yes, it can get lively around lunchtime, but that’s a sign of how popular it is—and for good reason.
