Abbiamo trascorso 3 gg al Country resort per il Capodanno, bilocale molto carino e confortevole, ben arredato e bellissimo panorama. Proprietari gentili e disponibili, tutto perfetto.

This is by far and away one of the best holiday experiences I’ve had in a long time. The owners, Scott and Shannon have beautifully refurbished what was an old bed and breakfast, and turned it into a sophisticated Tuscan getaway. The food at the on-site restaurant is delicious and well priced, and the hotel puts on themed evenings twice a week, pizza on Tuesday and a Tuscan BBQ on Thursday at an additional cost. The breakfast spread is comprehensive and comes with a variety of cold and hot options, along with the usual fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, yoghurt and breads. The evening menu consists of a variety of dishes but mostly focused towards local ingredients and Tuscan cuisine. There is a fully stocked bar with Filippo happy to make anything you might like, from cocktails to recommending some of the delicious local wines. There are yoga mats and 1-3kg weights for those that want to do some exercise in the mornings. Electric bikes (€50 per day) and normal bikes (free) are also available to hire if you want to explore the area a little more. The rooms are beautifully furnished, modern, but retaining their traditional look and style. The beds are comfortable, there is plenty of storage space, the bathroom is en suite and modern, and there is also a fully equipped kitchenette for those that want to do a bit of cooking themselves. The pool is a great spot to lounge for the day and gets the sun from 09:00-18:00, with the option to get food and drinks as well. The water is filtered on site and complementary to all guests which is a wonderfully sustainable initiative. The Borgo is a short drive to Montepulciano where the team also have a host of recommendations, from restaurants to wineries, and are happy to make reservations on your behalf. Many thanks to Jonathan, Simi and the team for all your help in booking us some memorable dinners. The standout is the service. Everyone there is smiley and ready to help on any query or request, Scott and Shannon have created a really impressive and welcoming place to stay, where relaxing and exploration are both welcomed. Special mention to Taliana who always greeted us with the widest smile, and all of her other colleagues who helped us during our stay, I couldn’t remember all the names to thank everyone individually here.
