Based upon other reviews here, we ‘rewarded’ ourselves with brunch at Bookeria after a long morning hike and it did not disappoint. It had a great selection of breakfast/brunch dishes like oats, pastries, omelettes, waffles and pancakes as well as a choice of juices, coffee, and smoothies. Despite being situated on one of Rovinj’s main streets, it had an understated, laid-back atmosphere without the garish picture menus or pushy staff and service was quick, friendly and efficient. The pancetta and Gorgonzola omelette was beautifully presented and bursted with bold flavours, while the pistachio pancake looked and tasted great. We also had poached egg, smoked salmon and avocado, along with iced coffee, cappuccino and an avocado smoothie. All that came to around 50 euro for a family of four - fantastic value compared to other places we ate at in Rovinj. Along with its heritage story of compiling their menu from their library of cookbooks, we would heartily recommend Bookeria as a perfect place for breakfast, brunch or just a coffee and a spot of people-watching!
