Between 2021 and 2023 I was able to work as a camp manager at the Bolderhof several times. I like sleeping on straw not only in summer, but also in April and October, when the cool wind, scented by the buffalo stable, just brushes my nose because I am always well wrapped up at night, especially in the spring and autumn months. Ultimately, I want to have a great week at camp with the children and the other leaders instead of getting sick. Above all, I like the colorful camp life with children and leaders. There's always something going on, we (we leaders) walk a few kilometers until all the children have shown us something, but that's exactly what's valuable, at least for me; Accompany the children in exploring the world and learn from the children to look at this world again with astonished, curious children's eyes. The challenge is often that, since in each camp you encounter a lot of what life has to offer, you become more adept and therefore more relaxed when dealing with tricky situations from camp to camp. I would like to praise the support of our main managers Doris and Sabine. I'm already looking forward to the upcoming camps. :-D Catherine PS: Photo = Carefully practiced driving the cows into the stable, which most children really enjoy. Everyone is allowed, no one has to. Rooms: Sleeping in straw is always a welcome change for me. Nearby activities: I like the camp program. It offers a nice variety between activities on the farm and the surrounding area. Safety: As a big farmer's lover, it is very important to me to spend a week with young people, realistically finding places where they can play carefree with attention, between everyday dangers and work. Walkability: As a warehouse manager, I always have enough space. ;-) Food & drinks: With two to four camps per year, not every menu meets my taste, but I am well to very satisfied with a good 95% of the meals. Noteworthy details: I love the Bolderhof and its people because here I can get to know the high wire act, with all the ups and downs, that such a farm is exposed to. So many people want organic, but it has to be ''cheap''. We want farmers to keep their animals in an animal-friendly manner, but so many people don't want to bear the additional effort involved. This gives a fairly comprehensive insight into our humanity on both sides: the provider and the consumer. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Kid-friendly, Great value

We were riding our bikes and horses on a sunny autumn day. We stopped here without further ado and were well fed. The finest juices and delicious snacks were available in the Besenbeiz. It certainly wasn't our last visit. We can recommend it very well.
