We had dinner at Billabong for the first time this evening. Unfortunately there are only 5 stars to rate. It deserves at least 10 stars. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was simple and classically furnished. And now about the food itself: The menus were very nicely presented; the eye eats too! The food was OUTSTANDING! So really EXCELLENT! The gratinated vegetables and the kangaroo slices tasted great! The starter of hazelnut salad with lukewarm mushrooms, bacon and egg was also really delicious. Lastly, the dessert, the ice cream, was also very good! The Billabong is highly recommended, we would be happy to come back, thank you very much! The Billabong has one more regular customer base. I have known the Billabong from Töffli Times for more than 30 years. But I haven't visited in probably 10 years. What we experienced last week was not what we expected! The Billabong no longer compares to what it used to be. From the outside it still looks small and inconspicuous. But that changes dramatically when you enter the Billabong. The service staff welcomed us with friendly eyes. The restaurant is friendly, bright and has a particularly bold design. The wood, the green plants, the ambience... we immediately felt at home. The staff is friendly, accommodating and polite. What the chef and owner conjures up in his kitchen is amazing. We gave the chef free rein. "let yourself be surprised" We had soup as a starter, venison for the main course and a dessert. We were thrilled. We'll be back and that's a sweet threat. We can only recommend it. it's awesome.
