To collect the cake I had not asked in advance because I took it for granted that it was possible to do as the previous time, that is to collect it in the afternoon in another of their stores, not knowing that things had changed. I may have also made a mistake in not asking and assuming that everything was the same but the girl also wasn't at all interested in communicating that I would have to collect the cake no later than 9.30 in the morning. He sent me a message at 9am the same day saying that the dessert would be ready at 9.30am and that I would have to go and collect it by that time. A very large cake that I didn't know where to put, from the morning at 9.30 until late afternoon. At that point I panicked because the cake wouldn't last out of the fridge all day, after kindly asking her if she could come and help me she told me that it wasn't her problem but that I should be the one to worry and inform myself in advance to withdrawal. I went so far as to beg her but she very annoyed replied that she couldn't give it to me later because she had her own business to do. All this by telephone. In disbelief I go to collect the cake, all in silence, at the moment of payment my partner takes out the debit card and the girl says that it was not possible to pay with the debit card and here I had to answer as she had told me shortly before that it was not a my problem but she should have been the one to worry and communicate it first, instead we take out the cash without saying a word. But it doesn't end there! He asks me if in the place where we were going they would have asked for the receipt and, not understanding exactly why he was asking me, I answered honestly that they wouldn't have asked me. So he didn't even give us a receipt! More and more incredulous and in silence we left. Ah, another significant detail that I, in my place, would have taken into consideration before treating a customer like this. Last year they made a mistake on the bill and made me pay 40 euros less, after 2 days she realized the mistake and wrote to me asking if I could bring the difference, I, the correct person that I am, after half an hour I went to pay. Well, I really didn't deserve such treatment! Having said this, for me it may also be the best pastry shop in Lucca but even if it were the only one they will no longer see me and certainly many others with me.
