Gestern bekamen wir im Gasthaus Meglisalp hervorragende Nussgipfel serviert. Auf die Frage, wer diese gebacken hätte, kam der Hinweis auf die Bäckerei Fässler in Brülisau. Dort schauen wir bei anderer Gelegenheit gerne direkt mal rein, was es sonst noch für Leckereien hat.

Today I stumbled upon this charming shop while waiting for my bus. As an American unfamiliar with Swiss cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and helpful shop owner. Without me even asking, she began to explain various local foods, answering all my questions with enthusiasm and patience. She took the time to highlight some regional specialties, and I'm so grateful she did. She recommended the Appenzeller Spezialität, a delightful salami, and the Appenzeller Mild cheese. Both were absolutely delicious! If you love salami and cheese or are looking for something exceptional for your charcuterie board, these are must tries. You won't be disappointed!
