prodotti di qualità mediocre, super affollato con personale che sembra metterti fretta per poter servire il cliente successivo, condizionatore sparato al massimo che gocciola ma con porta aperta che fa entrare il caldo. I've been living part-time in Vela Luka for over three years and have always enjoyed the local offerings, including the pastries at Babić. However, my recent experience left me with mixed feelings. Today, I went in to order a cherry turnover. I communicated in English, as my Croatian is limited. The clerk responded in English by asking if I meant a cherry strudel, which I appreciated. However, she then proceeded to ask me something in Croatian. When I indicated that I didn't understand, she repeated the question in Croatian instead of translating. When I still couldn't comprehend, she asked in English if I would expect someone in "my" country to speak English or Croatian. When I am not living here, I live in Norway While I understand the importance of learning the local language and respect that Croatian is the native tongue here, I found her comment unnecessary and unkind. The pastries at Babic are delightful, but the customer service could benefit from a bit more understanding and patience towards non-Croatian speakers.
