This place is located in the center of Postojna. My friend and I were looking for something to eat while we waited for our time to get to the Postojna Cave and we stumbled upon this super traditional bakery. We liked it so much that we went back for another. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: €1–5

Easily one of the top bakeries I've been to and I have been to too many. I wanted to try some Slovenian pastries and these cakes were unbelievably good. I went a little after noon and much of their goods were sold out (not surprisingly!). These cakes were absolutely fresh, delicious and perfectly balanced. The woman who helped me at the counter was so kind as well. It is on the way to the bus station, so if you're a tourist heading from the caves to the station, do yourself a favor and stop by this place on the way. They pack your items to go, otherwise you can have a lovely little lunch as there is a nice plaza place you can sit outside just down the block. They do accept credit cards as well. I spent 4.50€ total on the two cake pieces pictured. Price per person: €1–5 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: It's a bakery and most of the items are vegetarian. They have spinach pies and other savory items as well.
