Unfortunately, my experience at Boiler Club was extremely disappointing. The venue itself is not at all suited for a nightclub — the space is awkward, full of sharp edges, and far from inviting. The music was honestly unbearable. I have no idea where they found the DJ, but playing the same three badly-mixed house tracks on repeat for five straight hours is not entertainment. The atmosphere reflected this: the crowd was dead, hardly anyone was dancing, and the whole place felt lifeless. Prices were outrageously high: €8 for a shot, €16 for a simple drink, and €30 just to get in. For what the club offers, it feels like nothing more than a tourist trap. I want to make clear that this is not a criticism of the staff — they seemed forced to push guests around simply to move through the overcrowded, badly managed space. The fault lies entirely in the poor organization and management. What makes it even more absurd is the club’s attempt to market itself as a hub for “arts and culture.” In reality, all I saw was trashy vibes, desolation, and ignorance.
