Tonight we had the most amazing dinner in Gaeta, Italy, at the restaurant Bless Gaeta. The owners, Chef Francesca Giani and Sommelier Alessandro Giani, serve food and wine that is, in a word, unique. The creativity of this tiny gem makes leaving Gaeta especially hard. We hope to see you again soon, Bless. And anybody planning on visiting Southern Italy: Please make your way over to Bless Gaeta. “I had an amazing experience at this Italian Bar restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish bursting with flavor. The polanta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces were rich and authentic. The oysters were amazing The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance made for a perfect dining experience. Bless is an extraordinary spot in the heart of Gaeta’s historic center, right in front of a charming staircase filled with character and surrounded by a magical atmosphere: the Salita degli Scalzi. This path winds up to the Church of Santa Maria di Porto Salvo, a beautiful church that adds even more charm to the setting. Alessandro and Francesca are wonderful people—friendly, welcoming, and always ready to make us feel at home. Alessandro, with his expertise in wine, creates an unforgettable experience, guiding us to the best pairings.
