The owner did an excellent job with the interior design and decoration. It’s very warm, authentic and you feel good there. We are from the region and are used to generally going to the Rives canteen, which is however exceptionally closed this winter. At the Grand Paradis parking lot we saw the poster for a delicious cheese crust and decided to stop by and eat. It is a Sunday at 12:50 p.m. and we are informed that at that time, only the afternoon menu is available (on the poster it was clearly indicated that the dishes were for the evening menu but we did not unfortunately we didn't pay attention). The waitress, who was very smiling and welcoming, offered us soup, an apple pie which looked quite fancy, or a Canadian hot dog with fries and salad. We took the formula for CHF 18.- without salad. This is where the experience changes! We were disappointed with the value for money. It was literally a sausage in a bare industrial bun cut in half with ketchup and mayonnaise at our disposal! The fries accompaniment was however correct and good. When we received the dish we asked if it was possible for the price to have soup instead of the salad, which we were told was negative because the salad was normally a few leaves on the side. plate and that it was not modular as it was a formula. We have no problem paying CHF 18.- (or more if necessary) for a revisited hot dog formula if it is of quality and we leave the table having eaten. If that's not the concept (which we can understand for a restricted card), it would be wise to adjust the price accordingly. For the same price range, in the village 'Chez Joe' it offers a burger/fries with fresh, quality products and a quantity that corresponds to a good meal. We ate quickly, and paid the bill of CHF 44.70.- (2 Hot Dog packages, a tea and a coke) to quickly return home to eat. Although the setting and the quality of the service were exceptional, we came away with a bitter taste at having been cheated and found the owner not very commercial. Service: 5 Location: 4

We arrived 15’ before the official opening of the winter season, but they rushed towards us to open the doors. Friendly staff and cook explaining the new menu and running to serve us fresh veggie soup from their garden and all drinks we wanted. Great place! Service: 5

I stayed with my family at the Guest House du Grand Paradis during the week after New Year's. Kelly and the staff were amazing hosts, helping us find resources in and around Champéry. We also really enjoyed meals and snacks in the restaurant. Service: 5
