I found this restaurant by chance and we decided to try it on a Saturday evening. The environment is nice and welcoming with few tables, so the atmosphere is not chaotic. The quality of the food is certainly excellent and the dishes are well made with normal waiting times. Price perhaps slightly above average. The girl who served the tables was polite and attentive. I leave 4 stars because during the evening the gentleman (perhaps the owner) verbally rebuked the kids in the room more than once using terms that were not appropriate for the evening. I believe that everyone can make mistakes but in an environment like that one should remain calm and if opinions need to be expressed, do so away from the customers in the room. I also didn't appreciate the fact that, instead of paying in a special space at the cash register, everything is done on a table in the middle of the room. By improving these little things, the whole thing would certainly become an even better place. I would like but I can't, the place is also nice, the food is decent, the gyoza are good but the rolls (for the cost and more) are very mediocre, The service was quite appalling, with very few or even very few covers and very long times. All in all not bad, if I could give it a 2.5 out of 5 I would give it because there is room for improvement and quite a bit. It is difficult to find Sushi restaurants of a certain level in mountain towns, but Arcata Sushi Experience is a pleasant exception: excellent dishes, quality products and very friendly and helpful wait staff with explanations. Absolutely recommended, a valid alternative to traditional local restaurants.
