The service here was impeccable. The layout felt like we walked in a pure class with a touch of being at home. The table was set quite well and set the right ambience for a great start for a journey of the senses. As always we had the house wine, a red for tonight's meal. They brought out a tray of warm soft breads that each had a flavor of their own....olive, saffron, oat, cracked wheat, just tasty. Wow..we had such an amazing antipasti..the white carmelized onion with ricotta and a generous shavings of asiago cheese, Subperb! Plus the pumpkin custard with black truffles thinly shaved and drizzle of a sauce served with passion. We followed the delicious antipasti with our first course of black truffle risotto shared between the two of us..if I was a thief I would take it all. This risotto is sent from heaven for us to enjoy and we must share it with all! Add a touch of black pepper at the table and voila! What's next you ask, well suckling pig with polenta and roebuck goulash, these two dishes cemented the 5 stars for this place. The pork slices were so tender and flavorful you can't put your fork down despite how full you are. The goulash sent your memory and senses into overdrive of what your mother used to make(if your mother ever cooked venison goulash). Bravo! Can you believe there is room for dessert....pistachio ice cream DOP with almond & orange waffle unbelievable huh, well there is and it was just as amazing... To sum it all up this meal was relatively inexpensive.worth the drive up the hill, make a reservation and enjoy the night. It's worth the every moment
Best restaurant in the Vicenza area! The Risotto with black truffle is a specialty and is awesome. Its up in the curvy hills and came seem hard to find... but worth the drive. Reservations are required... they do not have a lot of staff that speak English and only a few English menus... but with food this good, who cares... Its Italy and this place is very authentic Italian.
