I would like to start by saying that I have never given a one-star review before. At first sight, Amore seems like a stylish cocktail bar in a fantastic location. There was a pleasant DJ set playing in the background, the sunset speaks for itself, and everything seems to be in place for a few cocktails in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere after dinner. I had looked up the place in advance, and although I was told that reservations were not necessary before 8 pm, I specifically wanted to sit right by the water, so I asked the young woman at the entrance to put our name in their reservation book. When we arrived at the time of our reservation, however, there was nobody to welcome us. After waiting for a short while, a waiter simply told us to sit wherever we wanted. We did so, but about two minutes later the manager started waving at me from a distance, telling me to get up. Instead of coming over and explaining what the problem was, he made me go to him. He then questioned me in a very confrontational manner about why we had chosen that table and even seemed unwilling to believe that we had a reservation. At this point, the situation had already become extremely uncomfortable. We went back to check the reservation book, where it turned out that we were actually the only guests in the entire place who had a reservation that evening. The manager eventually accepted this, but did so arrogantly and simply walked away without saying another word. In my opinion, this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable in hospitality. Unfortunately, we also had further issues with the service later in the evening. We had to spend a long time trying to get the waiters' attention whenever we wanted to order. To be fair, once we managed to place an order, the drinks arrived quickly and exactly as requested. After three rounds, however, we decided to leave and go somewhere else. We had the distinct impression that most of the staff's attention was reserved for their local friends and regulars. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this could genuinely be a great place. The location, atmosphere and sunset create the perfect setting for a memorable evening, and the place has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the management and the attitude towards guests completely undermine the experience. I sincerely hope that future visitors will have a better experience than we did, because with the right attitude and hospitality, this place could truly offer something special — especially when you combine it with that beautiful sunset. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: €30–35
