After much deliberation with Sunstar, I chose this place and it was a happy stay for 3 days and 2 nights. If you ask any questions by email, you will receive a quick response within an hour. The response speed is really fast compared to other hotels haha. Because my luggage was heavy and the road was uphill, I requested pickup on the same day, and it was available right away. I'm a neat person, so I find dust and dirt easily even in 5-star hotels, but here, I can feel that every single fixture and piece of furniture has been cleaned and maintained neatly. There should be an award for housekeeping. It was a family-run hotel, and the staff member, who appeared to be their daughter, was very friendly. He recommended good tourist attractions, had a bright impression, and always gave thoughtful answers to questions. The view was as good as it was advertised and the breakfast was sufficient as it had everything you needed. The coffee served for breakfast was also good. I also used the washing and drying machine, and it was cheap compared to prices around the area. It costs 5 euros per hour and includes tax. There was an incident where the electricity went out for a moment when using the coffee pot at night, but even that is not a drawback. They took action quickly and there was no inconvenience at all during my stay. It was nice to start my first trip to Switzerland with good memories of the Alpenhof. After that, I went to The Cambrian Hotel and a 5-star hotel in Chamonix, but I miss Alpenhof. I recommend it as the best hotel in Switzerland.
