We celebrated a big birthday with 18 people and were placed in a room with a beautiful view over the lake. But the room should be used for a maximum of 10-12 people. There was no separate place available for the aperitif, so 18 people stood crowded around a table set for 16 people. The room was so small that the table had to be placed diagonally and when only 1 instead of 2 guests left after the aperitif, there was no room for an additional place setting and the staff only brought an additional chair upon request. Two vegetarians were already registered when making the reservation. They had to identify themselves in front of everyone, like in a roll call. This could have been found out briefly and discreetly when serving. The starter was the same for everyone, except for 2, the ham-wrapped breadstick was omitted and the main course was ravioli for the vegetarians. I find that unimaginative. But it gets even worse: 3 diabetes-compliant desserts were ordered for dessert. After consulting with the kitchen, sugar-free sorbet was recommended and that's what we ordered. It wasn't until the regular dessert was served that we were informed that they were out of sorbet. Now a sugar-free cake was recommended, which no one wanted. The berries with some cream must be called cream with few berries. And the staff: generally extremely friendly and helpful. It wasn't her fault that there wasn't room for the gifts. But why assign someone who doesn't speak a word of German as the main person responsible? Or can all 90-year-old Swiss speak English these days? The restaurant in one of the best 10 hotels in Switzerland fell far short of my expectations. I would only eat there as a couple and only if the companion pays, because Alex isn't cheap. Dietary restrictions: Forget it. Despite advance notice, the kitchen was poorly prepared for vegetarians and diabetics. Parking: Parking spaces were reserved in advance for a group event. These had to be paid for in advance! 25.- per parking space for lunch on Saturday until 4 p.m. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 100+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren liebes Alex Team, Ich war heute im Alex zu Besuch und wollte kurz was essen gehen. Ich wurde aber sehr enttäuscht. Der Service im Alex Restaurant bezüglich an der Bar war wirklich unglaublich enttäuschend. Das Personal war unfreundlich und desinteressiert an den Bedürfnissen der Gäste. Von der Begrüssung bis zur Verabschiedung war der Umgangston unhöflich und unprofessionell. Es gab erhebliche Verzögerungen bei der Bestellungsannahme und der Servierung der Speisen. Die Kellnerinen und Kellner schienen überfordert und vernachlässigten unser Tisch mehrmals, ohne nach Getränken oder weiteren Bedürfnissen zu fragen. Selbst einfache Anfragen wurden falsch verstanden. Allgemein Zusammengefasst war der Service im Alex definitiv nicht auf diesem Niveau, dass man von solch einem etablierten Restaurant erwarten würde. Es mangelt an Professionalität, Freundlichkeit und effizientem Ablauf. Ausserdem haben wir als Gäste alle mitbekommen, wie einzelne Kellner untereinander auf Englisch gestritten haben. Dies war äusserst unangenehm, für alle die zu dieser Zeit dort zu Besuch waren. Ich würde mich über eine Rückmeldung erfreuen. Liebe Grüsse Fabio Ryf Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
