This seems to be a popular restaurant. The larger eating area can be loud. It seems this place is popular for takeaway as well because I saw many people leaving with big bags of food. There is a smaller eating area when escorted slightly through the kitchen. The service was friendly here. The prices of the pizzas are inexpensive, the rest of the menu is normally priced. The pizza menus is expansive, so if one is vegetarian your best bet is a pizza. All pizzas contain gluten however. I recommend the grilled Lavarello dish. Simple and light. Actually the food here is simply made, nothing too creative, but a solid choice for dinner.
This restaurant was taken over by thos family about 9 months before this review. So, not sure why they had negative experiences but my experience was a lively (but not overly loud) ambience, authentic, unpretentious and delicious food and great service. I stayed at the hotel for a week and ate at the restaurant repeated. All, and I mean all, of my meals were great. My favorite was the ravioli stuffed with scallops and shrimp. This is a family-owned hotel and restaurant and the service is intimate and you feel like part of the family. One night I was eating outside when I felt the first drop of rain. My waiter came out and asked me if I would like to move before the second drop hit me (literally). I really loved this restaurant (and the hotel).
