Staying at Dune Agriturismo in mid-September 2021 should be the highlight of our trip through northern Italy. The complex is very spacious and well-kept. The private beach and the pool gave us and our toddler (1.5 years) a lot of joy. We had a room with a terrace in the main building. This was very lovingly furnished and left nothing to be desired, a cot was made available to us without being asked. We found the €165 per night shortly before the end of the season to be high but appropriate for the area. The room was cleaned every day and was always in a clean condition. The breakfast buffet was (with the exception of the frozen pre-baked rolls) carefully put together and absolutely sufficient. Unfortunately, Corona made it impossible to serve yourself, which meant waiting times. Electric car drivers can use a charging station upon request. From the complex you can make good trips to the larger neighboring towns, after which you can retire to the intimate atmosphere of the Dune Agriturismo. You can tell in every detail that the owners have thought about how something was realized. We really liked the free services like refilling water bottles and rental bikes. Anyone who has read this far will wonder why I only gave it two stars. This is mainly due to the unfriendly owner, who unfortunately spoiled our stay quite a bit. The service offered during breakfast and the two lunches was by no means up to the expected level. Guests looking at breakfast! not being seated, but simply sitting down at one of the last free, set tables, are not served coffee as a "punishment". At lunch, the ordered dishes were simply slammed onto the table. With the few words exchanged, you realize with every syllable that you are not welcome. Some guests are served a little better, I couldn't see a system behind it. There are also no highchairs for children, only booster seats for the existing wooden chairs. These offer no possibility to buckle up the child and so our son fell off the chair on the third day and hit his nose. Although this incident was noticed, there was no inquiry as to whether everything was in order. The owner then avoided us as much as possible, probably to prevent us from speaking about this incident. Due to the latter points, we decided to only go to the restaurant for the breakfast we had booked, and we ate the warm meals in the restaurant on the neighboring campsite. There were (as usual everywhere) high chairs and the service was much better than in the premium agriturismo. In the final statement on departure, 40 € of our deposit were "forgotten". In several emails I asked to check the facts and send us the amount by bank transfer. Unfortunately, after three weeks and several emails, I am still waiting for the money. We were very impressed by the facility and we would have loved to come back to this dreamy place. Due to our bad experiences, however, we will not do this and can only advise others not to do so. We are very disappointed with our five night stay and the complications mentioned.
