My friends wanted to try a local dish, so I suggested ćevapi. Since I’ve been living in Slovenia for four years already, this dish wasn’t something new or unusual for me — but the ćevapi at Ćevabdžinica 10 U Pola were exceptionally well prepared. They were perfectly complemented with ajvar and kajmak, and everything tasted truly authentic and comforting. None of us were especially hungry, but the large portion disappeared so quickly among all the children that we didn’t even manage to take a photo before ordering another one Honestly, I think the fact that all the kids were absolutely thrilled with the food already speaks for itself. The local draft beer Pan was fresh and very decent as well For dessert they only had «tradicionalni kolač», so we took it to go. It reminded me a bit of baklava — rich but not overly sweet, and really delicious. And a lovely surprise — we were served by a very pleasant girl from Ukraine Greetings to her! An absolute MUST visit! Me and my brother had the most delicious Cevapi and flatbreads at this restaurant, accompanied by a generous portion of chips and the very well recommended cheese dip. We got huge portions for a very reasonable price and the taste was absolutely sublime, we will absolutely be attending again before we leave because it is comfortably the best thing I’ve eaten in Split so far! The server was very kind and quick to serve us, recommending a great cheese dish to mix with our flatbread! As I said, a must see if you are in the area or nearby!
