Walked in door - place was completely empty - in fact we asked if they were open - waitress assured us they were. Sat there looking at a menu that we had to have Google translate for us for at least 10 minutes before we were acknowledged again. (The waitress prepared something for a customer outside that looked like a water pipe - my companion said, "Is that a bong!!???) We had seen online that they had minestrone soup, but it wasn't on the 'daily' menu. Apparently, they only serve what's on the daily menu, because when we asked her about minestrone, she looked at is as though we had sprouted a third eye - like she had never heard of minestrone soup. The carrot soup sounded intriguing, but the rest of the menu didn't look like we could find anything we wanted and my husband was, by then, tired of being ignored and dismissed... plus he couldn't get his minestrone soup, so we left. Plenty of other places to eat along this lake-front street! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

This restaurant was closed, we were sent downstairs to "Mayfair" which we were assured had the same menu and food. The vieb was very different to the 4.9 quiet, panoramic view we came for at "First", The service was slow, the food just had overcooked McDonalds fries and fish thatonly tasted of salt. It was one of the lowest quality "restaurant" experiences I've had in every aspect. Despite all the above, the experience would still have been acceptable with the relatively low prices, until one of the waitresses swore at me in French (perhaps mistakenly believing I could not understand French as an English tourist)... I've actually never been sworn at at any restaurant before in my life. This was just after my card was declined twice and I asked to try one more time. Very unnecessary and pretty shocking. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
