Una volta conclusa la passeggiata attorno al Musee Suisse de la Machine a Coudre, visita Teppan Yaki. La cucina giapponese offre piatti saporiti in questo ristorante. I curatissimi ravioli, sushi e filetto americano hanno un sapore piacevole. Molti visitatori vengono per provare i suoi ottimi parfait e beignets.

We have been coming here for several years, but were disappointed on our last visit. Decrease in choice and the buffet was lukewarm. Probably related to the fact that we arrived around 6:45 p.m. We hope this restaurant returns to its old standards. If you are reckless, a little crazy and don't have a delicate stomach you can have an adventure there. What remains of this old Friborg brand which housed a gastro restaurant and then for around fifteen years the famous Teppan Yaki? Nothing. So if you are a fan of Urbex (exploration of abandoned places) you will find what you are looking for. Certainly the city development which rejects traffic, closed the bridge which led to the restaurant without passing through the city, removed all the parking spaces in the area, not to mention the work around the nearby cathedral is killing the businesses in the area. totally deserted area this Saturday. Pushing the door I think of the Teppan Yaki from a few years ago, pretty aquarium at the entrance, Chinese music, neat decor, a bit of typical Asian kitsch, the owner who comes to welcome us smiling and tries to find us a place despite not having booked, super stocked buffet and very good cuisine OK without being haute cuisine but we got our money's worth. And today? On a Saturday at 12:45 p.m.: When we arrived the aquarium was still there, a third of it greenish water, I didn't dare look if there was life in it, cold atmosphere, no music, a general impression of not being well maintained, no more charm , see dirty. Minimalist welcome, two tables occupied. The lady told us to go and help ourselves and that's when it would still have been time to flee...but hey, we're polite and we want to believe it. No Teppan Yaki style cuisine, fried food buffet (spring rolls, samosa, shrimp, and other Chinese dishes) almost empty and cold. Nothing was filled except for some tasteless chicken satay...where is the peanutty taste and the gelatinous meat is it really chicken? Nothing tempted me in the hot buffet, oops...lukewarm. My husband helped himself but apart from the meat being a little better cooked, the rest was also tasteless and not hot. I put my hope on the sushi... the worst of my life! On the conveyor belt spins like lost souls a few cups with a single variety of not-fresh sushi. I grabbed the last two cups which contained makis but nothing was added, the belt was desperately running almost empty. To top it off even the coke served was without gas, it too lost all fizz. Very sad to see the decline of this brand, I suppose they are no longer the same owners. Maybe on order you can have fresh sushi and other cooked products of better quality, but I'm talking about what I tried at the restaurant on a Saturday. I suppose that given the few customers they don't want to waste but as a result we don't get value for our money or any taste pleasure. I gave it two stars because the table next to them said they ate very well when they paid their bill. Maybe arriving at noon, first come, first served. They undoubtedly had more choice and warmth. Which was not our case... Digestion was difficult. It's up to you to form your opinion...or not... ;-) Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
